Have a 2002with AGM batteries and a Delta Q charger. Old style with 4 under back seat and 2 under hood. Delta Q was charging them fine with algorithm of 14. Since AGM can be placed in any position, I moved the 2 under the hood to under the back seat with 2 standing on end on each side and 2 in regular position in the middle. Rewired everything and car ran fine…But, now the charger won’t charge and blinks the battery high voltage one blink at me. Positive to negative, the batteries show as 71.7 volts. The digital readout in the steering column shows me at 30% and the cart now acts as very low on power, even though I’m showing 71.7 battery volts. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
Finally, after schematic searching, probe testing and reading and looking at every diagram and solved problem I could find, I found the problem.
Am posting it here in case someone else runs into the same thing. The white wire from the QuiQ charger runs into a double wire set up that goes to B-. The other wire running into that same double wire setup goes from the Controller- to the B-, but hooks into the same end that foes onto the B- lug. I had neglected to hook that second wire up. I think my original reasoning was that the Controller- was already hooked to the B-. Obviously, that was faulty reasoning and both wires must be attached to make this work. Hope that helps someone out in the future.
It looks like a lug. It’s the temp. sensor.
Some profiles require it’s connection.
