I’m new to the forum with a question about my 2001 e2 that gives a whinning sound when coasting or motor is under light load . Any suggestions what to look into or at ? ( approx. 3200 hrs. on the car )

Change out the rubber bumper on the motor coupling. Be sure to grease the spline. some whining is not abnormal on early GEM’s
