Monitoring battery temperature
How is it supposed to connect? To what? Is there a missing sensor or something? Is it worth fixing?
My understanding, it just sits on the battery and the sensor is the end piece. You could tape it to the side of the battery if you wanted to. How it is, is how it’s supposed to be.
My 2000 had one but the original zivan charger was removed so I just cut it out. The some delta q chargers will have the temp sensor attached to the negative post of the battery. The newer ones don’t even have temp sensor attached.
OH! Ok, so the sensor is just the end hmmm? Ok, then. It looked like it was terminated as opposed to cut off so I was puzzled. So i guess all batteries will get hot so it really doesnt matter which one to attach it to?
That’s actually how zivan spec’d it. Tape to the side of the upper battery.
