Does anyone know where the VIN number is located on the frame? Cali DMV won’t verify the sticker one on the roof. Want to send me to the CHP for verification… but that’s just more hassle.
Anyone ever seen a stamp anywhere while working on it???
Gem was originally Hawaii based, then Washington, now in Cali. Year is a 1999.
found it… well, a partial. Still had to have the Highway Patrol do a verification.
The frame stamp is just the consecutive build number, not the entire number which caused problems for the DMV. Highway Patrol was fine with it though… It is located at the base of the seat backrest on an aluminum bar that comes across the car.
