UK government to offer financial incentives for installing workplace charging points

It has been announced that the UK government will offer financial incentives for companies installing workplace charging points for electric vehicles. As we await full details of the scheme, which starts in July, many are asking the question, is it right for UK taxpayers to cover the partial cost of installing workplace electric car charging points?

What do you think?

They aren’t mandating these things. They are offering incentives that may or may not pay off. Only time will tell.

In reality it will double the range for many people. I will make Electric Vehicle ownership possible for those that couldn’t safely do a round trip on their home charge.

Governments world wide offer incentives, for various reasons, mostly to stimulate business. Some times they pay off some times, in the long run, they don’t pan out. IMHO this one is reasonable and it should proceed.

What say you?
