DOES YOUR CART SUFFER FROM PBF (PREMATURE BATTERY FAILURE)?
Lots of posts complaining about carts running normally then after 3 or 4 miles slowing down and the turtle light coming on with only 3 or 4 bars used on the SOC. Batteries less than 2 years old.
DO THIS: As soon as the turtle comes on do a (Brake load test).
Hook your volt meter to one battery at a time, hold your brake on firmly and mash the throttle a good battery will show 12 plus volts. A dud will drop to 8 to 10 volts.
Don’t stop with the first dud. I had 2 bad ones this week.
Important: Wait until you get the turtle. If try on a fresh charge you will get a false positive.
If your battery pack is 2 years old or less replace the duds. The remaining batteries have proven themselves and will probably get you another 2 years
