This may seem odd but I’m looking to see if there are any products or previously thought of devices to lock the parking brake handle on the Gem? I have an 05 e4. I was thinking of something as simple as a metal latch type lock similar to what is on the trunkback or the locking compartment on the dash. The thought is something that when the parking brake is engaged (pulled up) that I could lock it up. With the latch type I mentioned it would swing under the mechanism when the brake is up this keeping it there.
I live in St Louis, MO and in an area with quite a few golf carts but no GEMs so people are drawn to it. I drove it to a neighborhood pub and look out the window to see a young 20something taking a pic sitting in the driver seat. No problem, she was respectful but I fear something like that and the Brake being disengaged or worse someone trying to steal it.
Any thoughts?
