Energy regulator Ofgem is actively investing in projects which will prepare the UK National Grid for the expected increase in electric vehicle travel in the future. It is good to see more forward thinking in this area because there could well be teething issues as electric vehicle take up numbers continue to rise.
It will also be interesting to see how the utility companies price the use of charging points in the longer term with many suggesting electric cars could be the saviour of the utility companies.
