Not a Gem T3

Not in a Gem but the same programming changes might help me.
I was told in another thread Rodney may know about T3 programming.

I have a 48v system in my Tomberlin. 3.8kw 5hp motor.
What changes if any can help acceleration and torque?

I’m forced to play with this until I find a new Gem.

The T1 3.5 motor was great torque wise.

On another note:
Was just informed that new Gem truck I’m looking at has "they are Interstate deep cycle AGM batteries "

Do I need more information?
Would they be a fair choice?
I’ll google it also.

Go here and pick out the controller you have.

What is the diameter of your tires. What ratio Gearbox what brand and Hp is your motor. What is your present speed 11, 15 or 19 MPH

Have you made any changes from stock?

I have the manual and know how to program.

I just can’t find a way to get more torque.

I have not measured the gear ratio yet.

Speed and minimum field is all I’ve done.

Speed is at 30.
Min field is 70.

Stock was 25mph and 80 I believe.

May be moot now as I’m getting another gem.
See other threads.
Battery etc.
Too late now.

Interstate makes several models of AGM’s. What model number?

part number DCM0090

Thats the right battery for the cart. Check the charger to be sure it has AGM programming and it is selected. Many carts have AGM batteries but are being charged on the gel setting because an AGM setting is not installed in the charger. Results in an undercharged condition.

A note on batteries. Gels and AGM’s are 90 to 95 AH. The cheapest no account Flooded is 105 next is 130 and T1275s are 150. If you want range go flooded.

Thank you.
The batteries are new.
The deal is done.
What gear ratio should I expect? 2010
Might have to look at your 2" lift or maybe just tall wheels.

Take your min field down to 60 or below Don’t go less than 51.

Should give you some uumph.

Wish I could remember all I tried.

There was something I changed and motor overheated. This was a few years ago and scared me from tinkering more.

May not have went that low on field current as I was under the assumption that more FC = more torque.
lower FC = more speed.

One of the aftermarket motor places told me that I would have to change to a curtis controller to get more power.

Plan is to check gear ratio soon. It could be just over geared.
Tomberlin isn’t like Gem, hard to find info or parts.

which tomberlin do you have ? I like the pictures of the anvil but have never seen one in person.

Mine is just a golf cart nev.
