New Group 31 Gel batteries in a 2009 GEM

Can anyone tell us how many minutes on a Lester 72v discharger you should get out of a new pack of 6 12v group 31 gel batteries? Thank you.

Do the math. Look up the amp hour rate of batteries and the discharge current.
A 100ah battery will discharge in 10 hrs @ 10a rate. (theory)

Thanks for your reply but I’m not clearly understanding. We have 6 12v gel batteries rated at 98 at the 20 hour cap rate on the spec’s. Lester 72v discharger discharges at 75 amps down to 63v. We are getting 30 minutes on the discharger. Not sure how to follow your formula. Any further advice? Thanks.

1/2 hour at 75a = 37.5ah at 75a rate
As ah will be lower at higher discharge, it may be ok. You would need the ~1c rate or 3/4c rate from battery specs.

Thank you. Unfortunately they don’t post anything that says 75 amp rate or anything like that on the spec sheets. Only that Res Cap at 25 amps is 190 and that the 20 hour rate is 98.

Thanks so much. Our spec sheet only showed the 25 amp rating. Don’t know where you found it but this answers our question. Much appreciated.
