the Dynasty electric car… they weren’t around long… too bad they looked good as an NEV/LSV
Dynasty’s head office and manufacturing facility is located in Delta, B.C. Dynasty began the design of the IT line of electric LSV’s in the fall of 1999, and produced the first Sedan model in April of 2001.
The market for electric LSV’s was validated in 1998 when the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) created a new class of motor vehicle, the LSV. Currently, 35 states have passed legislation accepting the NHTSA ruling on LSV’s, allowing vehicles to be driven on roads with a 35 mph (60 kph) or less posted speed limit. LSV’s have a maximum allowable speed of 25 mph (40 kph). To qualify as a LSV, NHTSA requires the vehicle to be equipped with an automotive safety windshield, turn signals, mirrors, wiper blade, head and tail lights, and seatbelts.
The IT line of electric vehicles are distinctive because of their innovative styling and advanced engineering design. Optional packages including an enclosed driver compartment, heat and de-mist will address market needs well beyond the scope of existing products.
The Dynasty project has evolved as a result of the vision of a “team” of experienced business professionals, automotive designers, engineering and production specialists intent on meeting the demands of the global marketplace.
Dynasty Electric Vehicles like this 2008 IT Tropic are environmental friendly electric cars that require NO Gas and have a maximum speed of 25. Great for for urban, recreational and light commercial markets such as planned and gated communities, destination resorts, industrial complexes and universities, Dynasty Electric Vehicles bring fun to the electric vehicle. We like the IT Tropic because it’s a car you can really feel the breeze in. The four seater rag-top is ideal for warmer climes but still equipped with many of the It’s standard features like self canceling turn signals, seat belts and automotive safety glass. Dynasty Electric Vehicles are available in five different models, including the Sedan, Utility, Sport, Tropic or Van.
Does anyone know if the Dynasty IT is available anymore? I know they were purchased and relocated to Pakistan but I have tried contacting the company through their website to no avail. Just wondering if anyone had some information that I might not know. I am looking to replace a Sedan model that was purchased some time ago and having a tough time finding even a used one on Craigslist or Ebay.
