Glad to hear your noise went away . When I pick up a used gem it is one of the things I do to it . It usually makes them much quieter . Let us know how the optitemp works .
How would I tell how well it works? It’s quiet now. I guess we’ll see over time, but I’m getting the feeling this needs to be done once in a while no matter what grease you use. It’s grease with moly made for cv joints, metal on metal with high torque. The application seems to have very similar requirements and similar ingredients. I have the Honda 77 on the way, it only took about 20 minutes to take the hood off, pull the motor out, put the bumper in, grease it and have it all back together. Maybe I will regrease. Not like working on gas stuff.
Hey if it stays relatively quiet its working . If you try different greases just check back in and let us know how they compare . I like the Honda77 but haven’t tried many other . Always like to find something better
