reasonable range and speeds, but which may not meet US safety standards.
Could these vehicles be registered here if they were shipped over by the buyer?
Probably not. AFAIK a vehicle must undergo lengthy and complicated testing before thay can be approved for importing into this country.
But ask your BMV administrators. They should be able to supply you with a definitive answer, or refer you to a federal agency who can.
the only info ive heard about importing cars ice or other is if you import it chassis and engine seperate and assemble it after delivery you could registarte it as a kit-car which has to meet lower safety and emision standerds.
