As Renault and sister company Nissan have invested in excess of $5 billion into electric vehicle technology, it would be no surprise to learn that the launch of the Renault Zoe EV was eagerly awaited by the motoring media and the motoring public. This was a vehicle hyped to the max by Renault and rather than falling short of expectations, if anything these have been exceeded!
The Renault Zoe has alleviated many of the problems concerned with electric vehicles, at least in the minds of the general public, which include cost, journey capacity and driving experience. The vehicle even has its own special App which covers any questions you may have and gives you a 3D tour of the vehicle. Not only is Renault appealing to the high-tech, computerised career people of tomorrow but it is also appealing to those in their later years who are looking towards electric vehicles.
This seems to be a win-win situation for Renault, the electric vehicle market and the general motoring public.
