I built a golf bag holder that fits inside my rear cargo box carrier. But it is about a foot too high to grab my clubs. Has anyone successfully built a golf bag carrier rather than buying the $1,100 including delivery golf bag holder from Gem Cars parts companies?
Customizing one will take so much of your time, Just buy one.
I know this doesn’t directly answer your question but it’s an alternate solution. Install a hitch.
This gives you the ability to not only slide on an aftermarket golf bag, but a truck box, a bike rack, an anvil, skis, storage, whatever.
You need to be a handy person or know somebody who can help or hire since this is custom, but putting a hitch on both the front and back of my GEM has immensely increased it’s day to day usefulness.
Sundays I mow a few neighborhood lawns and have a package carrier kitted out to cary my gear.
Weekdays I take that off and can put on a bike rack if needed.
On the back I put on a truck box instead of the GEM plastic bin thing. It was substantially cheaper and bigger. Way more durable.
Granted, I don’t see a lot of hitch mount golf bag carriers, but there are a few.

I’m seeing the clip in oem golf bag holders for 4-5 hundred dollars on eBay and Craig’s list. Occasionally much cheaper but they don’t stay available for long. You can always just lay them on the back seat, not very secure or classy though!
I’m selling my golf bag rack, just removed from my E2, or trading it for some kind of short bed.

Looks amazing. I want to do the same thing with mine. In general, I think that golf is an amazing game. Golf requires patience, control of your emotions, critical thinking, grit, determination, and a host of other traits. I’ve always felt that I was battling my own flaws as a human during a round. When I conquered them and played well, it felt great. When I succumbed to my temper, impatience, and other negative emotions it was the opposite. So guys, if you are of the same opinion then you would like a website about golf - windtreegolf.com where you can find many useful articles.
