Any opinions on 2010 models?
I bought my 2009 new, so it might be close. Apart from the parking brake recall and replacing one Gel battery that went south, I’ve experienced ZERO problems with the vehicle.
I turn off the main disconnect every time I turn off the ignition and charge the batteries if the indicator is down a bar or two. It’s still on the original batteries.
It has 16" wheels and I swapped the stock gears for 6:1 three years ago. With the stock 7hp motor top speed is 40 mph and range is down to about 13 miles.
That’s very good top end. How much slower is the acceleration off the line and mid range compared the old gear?
It won’t haze the tires the way it did stock, but it easily accelerates with traffic from a stoplight. Midrange acceleration is decent.
I didn’t mention it above but I’ve made no controller changes.

6/1 not for me… I have to have that tire “Chirp” off the line and the mid range get up and GO… Maybe a 10/1 ?

What would the 2010 truck have for gears?
They just put in new batteries.
Checking on what kind. Makes a huge difference on a $4000 gem.
Interstate.
Not the best choice?
Things are moving too fast.
How about hauling in open transport?
How can I protect the windshield? 1000mi
Any info about 2010 Gem will be appreciated.
No idea what controller, charger, motor, or gear ratio it has.
Lifted 1999 Gem truck
Just got word that my truck was picked up at 9:00 this AM.
congratulations!
:clap2:Congrats… You made a wise and prudent decision buying a 2010.
The 2010 truck looks like a dealer just selling off his inventory since the 2016 models are doing out next month

No, it has a history.
Sold at auction. Batteries show dead in the dash picture.
Dealer put in new ones. Listed at $6900 first. Then lowered the price over the next 3 months to what I hope is a good buy.
Car fax has an error.
Mileage was show normally through several service cycles. Then in a week it jumped >1000 miles. Now it’s back to normal.
I’m quite sure it was a mistake in recording.
That’s why I posted about rolling back the speedo.
I have a friend who is selling an 05 eS… he replaced the motor and controller… some way his speedometer reset itself… batteries were dead on my car when I bought it and the speedometer didn’t change… not sure what would change it
Bob
where is the truck? I have a friend who is looking.
