Looking for replacement driver’s seat for 2012 GEM cart after seat support corroded and gave way due to seaside air quality. Anyone had this problem? Can the support be welded?
I had the same problem. I through mine in the trash. There was nothing left to weld to. The Bestop trail max seats for Jeeps fit well. I ended up getting some seats that had the shoulder seat belts built in. I still need to get them reupholstered though. The ones I got were from an 01-05 GMC or Chevy truck. The second picture is a bestop trail max 2.
Pick up a welder at Harbor Freight for ~$100. NEV accessories has seat covers back in stock (Gray and Black also available); $400 for an entire set. One word of caution, have a little patience if pursuing this option since the plastic clips on seat aren’t correct and require a bit of manipulation.
