France grabs the EV nettle

Despite the fact that the French government is currently firefighting an economic downturn, it seems that electric vehicles in France are now more popular than ever before. Indeed a number of car sharing programs have emerged over the last year or so with the largest making use of nearly 2000 vehicles.

It seems as though tourists and French residents are very keen to experience the electric vehicle market with demand expected to grow yet further.

I know that France was having electricity strains back in March, I wonder how the increase in electric vehicle charging is going to effect that? Regardless, I think it is a great move.

Hi Kwillscherer92

You make a great point about the electricity supply - the utility companies and the government will need to do something about this at some stage, assuming that EVs become as popular as many people expect in the future.
