Over charge….but….if I plug in at end of the day everything ok in morning. If I plug in and then unplug for immediate use…error 16. And this sometime appears when bars indicate high partial charge. Appears to be happening more currently than in the past.
Was wondering if this is an indication something is failing
Thanks
Surface charge hasnt dissipated yer when you interrupt the charge culvert cycle. Depending on the charger and what stage its in, those batteries could be seeing almost 16 volts at that moment. Lead & gel based bateries take some time to cool off and that to dissipate
Got it…thanks. I guess I just need to plan my day better
When was the last time you cave you pack a checkup?
What are they and how old?
When charging, what V is your charger pushing them up to?
If wet, have you topped up the water lately?
How well are they balanced?
Is your charger on the correct profile?
**batteries 3 years old
Deka Gel…Polaris
After overnight charge…77.5 at controller
Will check charger out put tonight
After overnight charge…77.5 at controller
That doesn’t sound right. From an Overvolt (-16) to way undercharged condition?
Did your charger finish with a green light or did it error out with a Blinking Red light?
Quick judgement says these batteries are smoked. It might be good to do some research as to how and why (so you don’t kill your next pack). Was the Charger set to the proper profile?
