The Lighting GT is yet another battery-powered electric supercar looking to battle it out with the likes of electric sport car makers Fisker Automotive and Tesla Motors. The Lighting GT will be able to deliver the goods thanks to the car’s advanced Lithium Titanate battery. Visually the Audi R8 e-tron is very much the same car as its gasoline-powered cousin. Audi says that the R8 e-tron’s lithium-ion battery is capable of 124 miles on a single charge with a full charge taking 6-8 hours on a conventional household outlet. The world’s fastest hot wheel has made it’s mark in India recently and it is none other than Bugatti Veryon. Bugatti Veyron price is also the most expensive available in India with a price tag of Rs 16 crore. Bugatti has developed a new electric supercar that generates 800 BHP from onboard batteries. The prototype of this car is based on the chassis of a Bentley Continental GT and includes two powerful electric motors that are able to deliver 2200Nm of torque and an advanced battery pack. This prototype is not the first electric car developed by Bugatti. The company has built an electric model called the Type 56, which the founder Ettore Bugatti used to drive around the factory in Molsheim, France. The Type 56 was never intended for serial production, but popular demand in the form of his customers build the little electric car.
