A study in the US has addressed the issue of interference with pacemakers when driving electric cars. There were concerns that the electromagnetic interference generated by electric motors could cause potential issues with pacemakers and lead to potentially life threatening situations.
The report is not conclusive as there could be issues with a small number of pacemakers. More tests are planned and indeed such tests might become law?
