Am now able to handle DeltaQ repairs.
What is the retail cost and shipping policy?
Do they do simple repairs or only rebuild?
Can you specify a lithium profile as default?
On their site $325 is mentioned. Can that be right?
I have a DQCP72 that does not work with a programmer.
My first attempt to change profiles the tap method.
Nothing like the instructions.:noidea:
It seems to have 1 thru 6. Any idea what they might be?
I can set this to 1-9
These plus 9?
I might make trade for a non working DQCR and above.

Reman to original configuration only. Do not add algorithms. Price is right. I charge $318. shipped back to the customer. I provide a convenience service. The customer doesn’t have to set up an account and it’s painless. My customers have been happy with my service.

Note everybody. Dave (The Genius) Saved me a ton of money by fixing my Chinese Charger for my boat. He can also do DQ’s. Talk to him.
I was thinking after I posted that it might be considered a hijack.:o
But then I thought. It will bring attention to your service.
I can’t refurbish to specs and offer a guarantee as I have no cooperation from factory.
Have you seen DQ72 with algs 1-9 in them?
Should be ok for Gems, right?
After I get thru testing, it will be for sale, as I can’t load lithium in it. (yet)
Ever wish that you could change the DQ profile without it installed in the car?
I’ve been doing it a lot.
No need to connect to a programmer with this.
Ok I’ll bite. How Much?
Just a tease.
One only. Proof of concept.
I can show you how to do it, but I have a few of these boxes with led and switch in them.
I’ll give you one next shipment, if you think it handy.
Made a few improvements.
The led now shows good connection to charger and good (programmer) battery.
Here’s how it works for me;
Connect clips to charger leads. Red to plus-Black to neg.
Plug in charger.
While charger is blinking profile code, press button for about 3-4 blinks.
Release for about 3-4 blinks.
Repeat a few times and let charger finish showing the profile code.
If fault light ever comes on, reboot charger, and try again.
To step to next profile, press for another 3 blinks and release.
It will now read next profile code.
When it blinks the profile code wanted, hold button in till blinking stops.
I found that most of the chargers had to be put in the program mode before they will input. While the charger is blinking out the installed code (11 seconds duration) I push the button for about 3/4 of a second. If it keeps blinking the current code it will then take the 3 plus second pulse to advance. If it red lights you have to start over. NOTE: this is in the factory procedure.

@Old_Houseboater what is a DeltaQ repair? What is required to get this credential?
Rodney has a relationship with fsip for rebuilding Gem electronics.
I will tackle simple repairs for members as hobby.
No factory support-no guarantee. Less money.
That’s why I’m looking for Todd. Have the parts for his DeltaQ charger.
