I had my controller sent off to be rebuilt and I did not charge the batteries prior to removing the controller. It may take awhile for the rebuild to happen and I don’t want the batteries to get too low to recharge. Can I charge without the controller?
You can charge them one by one using a standard automotive charger. All the standard caveats apply.
You want to make sure they stay balanced and have the same individual nominal voltage when unplugged if you do decide to charge them one to one.

On pre 2016 Gems the charger works stand alone. Charge as normal.

first you need to connect the black negative wire from charger if you have 2005-2016 car
