Have owned a 2002 gem car 4 seater for 4 years now. Slapped new batteries in it and have never had a problem until recently. What does successive beeping noises and a flashing red light mean when I plug in to charge. It won’t take a charge. Please help.
You might be using too high of a gauge or too long of an extension cord. Try finding a 12 - 15 gauge cord that isn’t more than about 25 feet long. If you are using a CGFI cord by GEM, make sure your outlet also isn’t CGFI - using two CGFI points can sometimes cause the charger to fault.
Also, did you change the type of batteries (flooded to gel, etc.)? If so make sure you changed the algorithm to match the type of batteries you have.
