AC motor for Gem

What do you think?

Back to the pmac?

You guys seem like the only people on the planet trying to give these new gems more horsepower. Doing awesome work. I live up on a mountain and these things struggle to get 18mph up. I will definitely buy a kit when everything is solved! Btw will the GEM eM1400 run into other problems? From a glance, it seems to have plenty of space in the rear.

Don’t know much about the 1400. Only drive train image found is:

I would think a 7hp motor would go uphill.
If it’s a 19 spline standard motor the big a.c. motor should fit.
What batteries do you have?
Are you near any of my partners?

That’s a nice looking ride.

From what I see nothing is in the way. Love the rear set up.

@Inwo I have the AGM batteries and probably not near the partners being as I live in Hawaii

Does this motor include the controller? Price? Warranty? New or used?
Compatible with T-1 controller on 2001 GEM?

Not completely tested yet. I’m designing the wiring harness.
8kw ac motor and sevcon gen4 size 6 controller.
About $1500
Money back if it doesn’t work out, but “new surplus” parts with no warranty.
That’s why it’s 1/2 price.

A couple might be available to techies at low cost for help testing.

Aloha Keys, What Island are you on? I just purchased a used EM1400 LSV and I am looking for some parts. I am on Maui. Thanks for your time. Ron

I have a em1400 and @JarJarJava just picked one up.
Are you having problems that need parts? Should all be available.

Most parts should be available for the eM1400.

Put in your year and model here - I don’t think there is much difference, if any, between the eM1400 and the eM1400 LSV. The M1400 is gas powered though.
