72v 5000w AC system for $480 / 8000w $

Have you guys seen this motor?

48.5lbs
7.48" diameter.

Unite makes it and quoted me $480 and $620 for 5000 and 8000watt models respectivly for 10pcs. 5000w shown. Uses a standard 0-5v scooter throttle judging by the connector. The controller is built in!

We should pull together a group buy on these things. 20 day lead time for production. I’m waiting on specs for the 8000w model.

can someone edit the title and add $620 to it. thanks.

So 8000 watts is around 10 HP? I wonder if that is max or not.

Probably because the controller is built in and current limited I’m sure.

Ok get this…

Specs on the 8000watt motor:

8" diameter, 12.6" (housing lenght)
8kw (16kw peak)
144v
61.6a (120a peak)
7000rpm
8.04ft-lb (14.75ft-lb peak)
79.36lbs (weight)

Built in controller with regen, reverse, 1/2 speed, voltage and current outputs.

Air or water cooling option.
Neodymium magnets.
Comes with foot pedal control.

Custom voltage/speed available.
Custom shaft sizes available.

So if I’m doing this correctly:

8.04lb-ft7000rpm/5252xrpm=10.7 HP continuous or 7 978.98863 watts(?)
14.75lb-ft
7000rpm/5252xrpm=19.65 HP peak or 14 653.0025 watts(?)

Not bad for smaller cars and lower budgets. Buy it and test it for us.

If I can I will. I think it would be a good setup for motorcycle. I’m strongly considering it.
