I was driving my E4 the other day and the range was around 5 miles. I made it home with “battery low” on the dashboard. Plugged the car in to charge and yesterday morning it was still showing “battery low” but the Zivan charger was showing 49.8 on the display. When trying to drive the car it will go up to 25mph for a very short distance and then shut down. Turning the key off and on again will allow the process to be repeated.
Things I’ve done so far:
- Disconnected and reconnected the front and rear 12v batteries (front battery is brand new 50ah lithium and shows 13.4 on voltmeter.) (rear battery show 13.4) Both battery voltages go up when the key is turned on.
- Did a hard reset by disconnecting the positive cable of the car’s lithium battery and left it disconnected for 15 minutes.
- Unplugged and replugged the BMC as well as the other end by the parking brake under the hood.
- Unplugged and replugged the DC to DC converter in the front and back of the car.
After all of these steps the car still shows “battery low” scrolling thru the display shows “range low” and “soc low”.
Lastly there has been a Vehicle Fault code that pops up periodically since I bought the car back in November 2024.
That fault code is 524246. The code has always gone away and come back randomly.
FWIW - Car also has dual Zivan Chargers
Not sure what else to try at this point, appreciate all the help and advice in advance.
