I hope that I didn’t seem rude, but over and over again, members ask for higher performance. Only after blowing their budget.
Although not the safest way to hotrodding, high voltage is the key to speed and power. Imo

I have a 22 foot camera crane jib on top of it. I just need a little bit more power because I have a lot of weight in it.. it struggles on hills
Way cool.
What does the jib weigh? I can’t make out the manufacturer name.
Being heavily loaded, shorter gears will do way more for you than 2 more hp.
I think @AssyRequired ran your differential model number. Its a 12.x:1 if you can get a 14.x:1 out of an e6, itll do way more for you.
Another option is @Old_Houseboater , Rodney may be able to put shorter gears in your diff, possibly maybe even get you into 17:1 range.
Think about it like this, a McClaren has like 1100 hp that gets unleashed with the track key. But, it struggle to pull the tinest U-haul trailer filled with rubber dog poop up a hill. A 50 year old twin-stick or 3x3 Freightliner with an 8V71 Detroit which makes like 180 hp, with a 30,000lb trailer (that’s like the weight of like 12 McClarens) will pass that 1000+ horsepenis car with its trailer like its standing still. (In glorious full color slow-motion i may add). The freightliner is geared way lower…
Mind, shitty example if you really dig into it, because a McClaren is so low to ground, you cant even get it up the platform on a tilt-back wrecker without ripping multiple parts off it, including possibly the transmission, the moment it hits that ramp, so a trailer aint gonna happen, unless its attachment point is the center of the roof… but you get the idea, i hope. .
Now that we have a better idea what this thing is, What do you need it to do?
Do you chase things with it? How fast does it need to go?
or
Do you just use the drive platform to get from one location to the next?
Good candidate for a 15kw or pmac motor. Is $2k in your budget?
…and Dave knocks it out of the park…
For @luanagos
… once you go pmac you cant go back…
… no, no, thsts not what i meant to say…
… ear.
Ok, seriously… a pmac (permanent magnetic motor) which is a very different design than what you have in there now, has metric shittons of torque. If you are going to go PMAC, you may not want to change the gears for shorter ones (higher ratio) unless you want a camera cart that can climb a tree if can get traction.
“Metric Shittons of torque”? LOL very scientific to say the least!
Great to see others doing out of the box mods to these GEMS cars. What you did there is very cool!
Why yes, yes it is, thank you.
A metric shitton is precisely 10% greater than a standard SAE shitton. The king daddy though is the long shitton, at 12% greater than the shitton. Of course, unless I’m in a conversation with another recovering sailor or one of my friends who happens to be from South Africa, no one appreciates the value of that measurement.

Somewhere around here is a pic of Dave’s pmac mounted in a Tomberlin perfectly perched on it’s back end (front wheels up). I went looking for it and fell into the pmac wormhole. That was fun to visit again but now I lost half my day.
You need 14.7 gears and 21 inch diameter tires. If you have 24 inch tires a switch to 21 inch may be enough. If your motor is getting hot you might consider a fan motor AMD or GE. Email me rodneyadiehl@aol.com

Can be if works haha
Dry weight like 900lb with weights prob 2k
20mph
Is fast enough. Just going up hill it struggles if i dont get speed.
I use the drivable base with the crane and without the crane. We do Camera rigs off the plates. Or chasing cars.
I just suspend the crane on the trailer with the 2 inch ratchet straps of the cage. I built inside the trailer.
Hahahahahahaahahah thats funny
Pmac like this?

Both @Inwo and @Old_Houseboater have good solutions for you here.
Start with the easy stuff like the tire diameter
Or JATO packs, those are always an option too
Okay great. Will change to 21
