2005 and 2006 have T3 controllers that DONT have a FUNCTION 7 (minimum field current) setting. It is fixed fixed internally in the controller. You have to cheat tire size and gear ratio settings along with a magic magnet to get over 25 MPH.
Blue Motors and the Short AMD 7.5 (if your lucky enough to have one) can be coaxed to 34 and 37 MPH respectively with 21 inch tires and 8.9 ratio gear box. (2 seater) GE and AMD fan motors will give you about 29 tops. I’m told 84 volts helps.
Cure is T4 conversions.
Is this an answer to a specific inquiry?
I believe field current can be lowered with a hardware fix. We may have discussed this before, but I never had a test mule.
Some trial and error required. Connect resistance that is about 10% of field resistance in parallel to field.
This is a known method of speed control for shunt motors. In use previous to sepex control.
hi
here are some settings to try with
but you need this software in your T3 controller
SoftwareID : GL RevisionID : 7L
I have not had my hands on a T3.
You have been truly blessed. You need to say a prayer of thanks. They are true POS.
e went thru this about 4 years ago. You were going to try a resistance pack or some other. Project died.
Yes, never found someone to test at the time.
