Ive seen a few post about this, but still can’t figure out a solution. So the GEM initially had an 09 code and was not going into other drive modes other than reverse. I swapped out for a 3 way switch until I could get a replacement part. Then I turned on the car a few days later and now the dash is flashing. Battery indicator still works. Still illuminates when flashing. It still drives and goes into different modes. Batteries are new. The main cylinder fuse looks good and the car would not move without it so it must be good. I removed the controlled, checked all the connections. All seem to be okay. I assume there is no data going to the display. Any ideas before I call it quits and reinstall the dash?
