I just bought a red 2002 GEM.
replaced the 6 trojans with grey gel batteries.
but the problem remains - the Led shows red, then blinks, then
yellow, then green.
but the meter shows -4%, all electrics like light, indicators work,
but engine doesn’t move at all.
what could be the problem?
i’m a bit stuck on catalina island / CA with NO service at all and have
to figure this out myself.
any suggestions?

Just curious but are you sure the “meter” is showing -4% and not -04?
Not sure what -4% might be but -04 is an error code meaning parking brake on. Could be you haven’t released the parking brake or the switch isn’t quite right.

007… being on Catalina can’t be that bad… being stuck on San Nicholas is worst… the flashing lights are they on the charger… where the red light has gone out and the green is on top and the yellow is right under?
