How do I lube the differential?
Remove the rubber plug in the sheet metal pan. Fill until oil runs out of the hole. Most guys use 80/90 gear oil. If you want to change the oil buy a “Little Red Suction Pump” from Walmart or your favorite auto parts store.

I find a round black rubber plate on the upper side of the differential, however it seems to be well fused to the dif. Is this the one that is to be removed to place the gear oil in?
No the black rubber plug in the sheet metal cover on the bottom of the gearbox is the fill/drain point. Fill until oil runs out of the hole.
