2002 Gem car. 72v to 12v converter Q&A

So I know that the 2002 gem car has a 72 volt to 12 volt DC converter to run all the 12 volt accessories. I recently bought some 60 watt LEDs and they come with a relay. I understand the reasoning and the method of the relay. My question is where would I connect the high amperage Hot Side of the relay that powers the LEDs on the 72 volt to 12 volt DC converter? I was going to just put the high amperage relay side of the wire to the headlight but my knowledge tells me that the relay is there so the switch doesn’t burn up and if I ran the hot side to the existing headlight wire then the high amperage would be going through my headlight switch on the dash. Where can I hook up to the 72 volt to 12 volt DC converter for high amperage that is not regulated through a switch first? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in advance

Its an 02. Fire can be a good thing.

Either the therapy sessions or the meds aren’t working. Time to increase one/both?

One issue I have with this is that if for whatever reason you lose the main light power, then you lose ALL of your other lights too.

I recently studied your Gen1 fuse block and found out that there are two undocumented/unused power circuits in your car all wired up and waiting for fuses to be plugged in.

Note the two empty fuse slots. If they were populated, they would be Fuses 7 & 8. On the back (if you were to remove the fuse block and look) You may find wires attached in these empty slots.

On my sample harness I found the Wire colors are
F7 - Grn/R
F8 - Brn/R
This also happens to be the origin of the famed Purple wire. (fuse 6)

All of these wire exit the Main Harness up by the controller.
They might be all taped up and tucked in somewhere.

The clinic burned down. Apparently it was quite the tinderbox. I was shocked to hear they were storing leaking acetylene bottles there.
