Gem car was sitting for about 3 months while I rebuilt it. I did not touch any of the power components since they were all good (pedal, motor, batteries, etc). The gem car would run about 35 mph at the time and now it is only getting a top speed of 22 mph. I have checked all the batteries for voltage and performed a load test. All the batteries are about 13 volts and with the load it only drops down to 12.25 volts. All connections are clean and free of grease, oil or dirt. This gem does have the upgraded controller, motor and accelerator.
Is there a trip switch of any kind to slow this down?
Could the pedal need adjusting?
Please help as I dont know what else to look at. Thanks
