Recently purchased 2001 E825. Cleaned many terminals and checked battery levels. Gauge indicates battery levels much lower than batteries really are and therefore the car shuts down long before the batteries are low. Thanks for your thoughts.
How old are the batteries?
Did you check each cell with a hydrometer?
Voltage checks when not under load are sometimes misleading.

Thanks for your reply. I was told by the previous owner that the batteries were 2 to 3 years old.
The (voltage) and hydrometer readings are as follows:
Battery #1 (12.65 V) 1.250, 1.250, 1.250, 1.250, 1.250, 1.250
Battery #2 (12.64 V) 1.260, 1.250, 1.255, 1.255, 1.250, 1.245
Battery #3 (12.68 V) 1.250, 1.250, 1.250, 1.260, 1.255, 1.255
Battery #4 (12.69 V) 1.240, 1.250, 1.250, 1.255, 1.275, 1.270
Battery #5 (12.70 V) 1.240, 1.260, 1.260, 1.275, 1.255, 1.275
Battery #6 (12.31 V) 1.225, 1.225, 1.190, 1.230, 1.225, 1.115
Battery #6 has now been replaced with a new battery due to the low reading in cell #3 and cell #6.
My dash readings (% of batteries left) don’t seem to be much different.
Does the 2001 GEM825 regenerate while braking? Can you reprogram the controller? Should the batteries be discharging when the main battery switch is in the on position? What could be discharging the batteries when the key is turned off and removed? No error codes (besides -04 handbrake) appears until the cart runs out of battery prematurely.
I appreciate your opinions and advice.
#2, #4 and #5 are not up to par.
There is a parasitic draw even with the switch off. About 1 to 2 % a day. You can reduce this by shutting off your main switch.
When your batteries are near the end of their life they won’t get to full charge 1275 to 1300 even though charger shuts off.
A sign of this is a rapid drop off of charge percentage reading in the first mile or 2.
Are your batteries real GC (golf cart) or size31 MDC (marine deep cycle) or???
With the readings you posted your probably only getting 12 or less range.
Batteries not charged regularly can fail in less than 2 years.
Your probably close to a new set of batteries.
We assume that you dont have any mechanical problems like soft tires or dragging brakes.
