I need help in trying to remove break shoes from the front of my 2000 gem
You would be well served, and much safer, to replace the drum brakes with a disc brake upgrade. Stopping no longer seems iffy. Best upgrade I have done.
I have a 2000 and did the disk brake upgrade. Strongly agree with @Reddevil. That being said, hit up @Old_Houseboater for the service manual. It walks through servicing the brakes in detail
break shoes off…now the hub ass’y…need help with that
Remove the 4 cap screws and pull off the entire assembly.
I will include the hub assembly with the backing plate. You will have to use your cylinder.
