2000 E825 2 seater wont move!

See those little black tabs? Gently pull them outward at the same time and the red retainer will pull off the end of the plug. This will give you a better look at all the pin/sockets.

You sir, are an absolute genius! -90 code is gone! That pin was apparently not making contact! Now I should be able to put the red/green and green wire back to their appropriate spots and under the charger interlock?

Not yet.
I am concerned that there may be some sort of internal problem with the charger/interlock. It is old tech that will eventually be replaced.

It is not a big deal. it is not needed to run.
The interlock is in place to keep you from driving away while the car is plugged in. Right now it will drive away. If you are ok with that, we can stop now and enjoy the car.

I am quite fine with that. I intend to convert to lithium and replace that charger after this winter. So for the time being I will just leave the interlock bypass in place.

I cannot thank you enough for your time and patience with me. I have been racking my brain over this for weeks and just knew it had to be something simple. I appreciate your knowledge and help greatly.

It is all about stepping through the systems one at a time, and understanding what it is telling you.

If you want to diagnose what might be wrong with that charger-
Conditions → Meter set for V, car unplugged, KeyOFF, Main BattSwON.
Target → the wires coming out of the bottom of the charger (the ones you were using for the key loop, and now hanging unused)
Note if any voltage present

  • Green wire and ChassGnd
  • Red wire and ChassGnd
  • Across both Red and Green wires.

Then switch your meter to Ohms
What do you see across both Red and Green wires?

  • Unplugged from wall (not charging)
  • Plugged into wall (car charging)

Report back with what you find.

Just wanted to let you know that you also did a great job at following step by step with @AssyRequired . Remote support is VERY difficult and made more difficult when the inpatient start jumping to their own conclusions. I’ve seen many have to walk away from helping because of that.

So the gets tipped to both of you for solving the problem. And @AssyRequired is pretty amazing in how he handles these difficult remote troubleshooting tasks.
