Just looked at a parts catalog for the 1999-2004 models. On front page it listed two versions of the two seater, one was called Narrow.
Anyone know what that meant, and how to tell the difference?

Page 5 shows a different width rear trailing arm suspension setup for the 2-seat narrow. It doesn’t list dimensions, (SPOILER ALERT) but it looks, well … narrower.
Odd that there is no difference noted for body panels or seats.
Almost makes me wonder if the vehicle ever actually existed.

Looking at those parts images, it does appear to have a rear wheel base of maybe 4” - 5” narrower. The only obvious difference I can see is the location of the brake hose (or emergency brake cable) mount. On the normal it’s on the axle tube, on the narrow version it’s on the trailing arm. Next time I’m up close and personal with my axle, will have to see which version I own.
