Wrong Dash Panel 2001?

I need a little help please. I was dry fitting some pieces together before paint and I can not get the dash to line up for the life of me. The “angle splash guard” is all broke and seems to be in the way of this dash lining up. Is it possible this is the wrong dash for a 2001 825 E4?

Something is not right here or I am missing something very simple. Thanks for the help.

I thought those were all the same? I do know the 1998-2004 and the 2005 and newer will interchange.

Ive looked at very different types on ebay and google images. Im going to just have to make this one work for now! :o
