Self powered. Use to test motor tach output, on or off vehicle.
Simple way to verify hall effect output from motor.
Also to check gear ratio.
Plug it in.
Roll car 1/4 turn of tire. Reads ratio direct.
For more accuracy roll car two turns and divide by 8.
