A group of Dutch students from the Eindhoven University of Technology has won a Crunchie Award in Silicon Valley. For those of you that might not know what a crunchie award is, its the Oscar but for the technological world. Not just any price, because their Stella solar car took on Apple Pay, SpaceX and Bitcoin.
The students were nominated in the category ‘Best Technology Achievement’ and did not expect to win, says team leader Lex Hoefsloot. “This is very special. We knew we were an underdog, but that we have won this award on the other side of the world is incredible.”
