A while back I did a post about my speedometer not working. So I finally broke down and bought a speed sensor and now the speedometer is working along with the regen. I took the information from Daniel aka GEMmechanic and bought a speed sensor for a Club Car golf cart which is the same sensor used on our GEM’s. The sensor for a GEM Car was $96 shipped and the Club Car was only $37 shipped.
It seems these speed sensors are an item that fails frequently, at least on the older GEM’s. Mine is a 2002.
