Right side turn signal

I have a 2002 E825 My right side turn signal will not work. I have running light and brake light on that side but no turn signal. The red light on the steering column does not light for the right side either. I had a burnt bulb on the rear, which I’ve replaced and the front bulb looks fine. I tried a new bulb there as well, no luck. My left side signal works fine. I’ve looked over the wires as far as I can, front and back of the cart, and nothing looks broken or disconnected, even behind the back seat (which was a joy to get off lol )

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

The turn signal switch assembly sounds like it is flaky. Try flipping it back/forth a few times to see if results improve.

First time I had to pull the back of the bench seat on my 02 long bed (same bench and back as a 4 seat) I needed a 42” pry bar. Some genius thought dissimilar metals would be a good idea so the the hanger clips fused….

God I hated that damn truck….

Do you have an east coast gem? They had the big oval turn signals stuck in the bottom of the hood along with the tiny square blinkers up top by the wiper I may be mistaken, but I thought I saw some weird wiring on their electrical print

Thanks…! I’ve tried that with the switch lever. I thought about pulling apart the steering column to see if something is amiss inside…

Lolol same here, it was impossible to get that clip to budge ! Without ruining the back of the seat !

Yes, east coast, with the signals as you described. I was actually thinking of rigging a separate right turn signal and use that for right turns..

I’ll look if I have a schematic with the east coast signals. Does the tiny rectangle light by the headlamp still work?

And it’s not simply a corroded wire? No weird lumps on the wires where someone jammed a piercer in there years ago and the wire corroded away under the insulation?

Byron @AssyRequired is one of the most through troubleshooters I’ve ever met. I’d stick with his help over mine in the meantime

New 2006 GEM E4 owner here, and neither of my rear indicators work, nor the brake lights. But when headlights are on, the rear lights turn on for running lights. Ideas? Front indicators work fine.

I have a friend that had that same issue, or at least they sound the same. After about 20 min of troubleshooting I found that the insulation on the wire in the light housing had been compromised by one of the screws holding that housing in place. The wire was stretched too tight and the threads of the screw just wore into the insulation just enough to cause the light not to work. It was not very visible nor could I check it with an ohm meter. Only showed up when voltage was applied. That may not be your issue, but might be worth checking out.

appreciate the insight. Will check out!
