2002 gem e825 ran when parked the next day it wouldn’t move with or without the key on the dash is lit with a red wrench and an 04 tried jumping out the brake switch but still wouldn’t move and wrench light stays on solid
Check that the handle is all the way down. Lift seat and look at the micro switch to insure the lever on the switch is not stuck. You can move the lever and actuator switch with your hand. Check the adjustment on the switch. The older ones tend to bend after 20 years or so… if you are careful, you can bend the lever slightly with your fingers so that it depresses the switch. You can get a new replacement on Amazon for 6 bucks IF that is the problem. If that does not cure the problem, then start checking the wires and connections.
If this is a hand brake switch issue, then jumping/bypass the switch should clear the issue.
Unless you jumped the wrong wires? The Gen1 cars had 3 wires down on that switch. Ignore the yellow wire and jump the Grn and the Grn/W.
Does the -04 clear? Confirm (Y/N)
If NO,
Run a test wire from the first battery connection under the driver seat (B-) and connect it to the Wht/Grn wire directly.
Does the -04 clear? Confirm (Y/N)
Is still No, then prepare to check a few connections under the dash.
An 02 you say?

Ok… Listen up… Assy required is very knowledgeable. He Helped me with mine with same issue. ON MINE I found the same color wires in the harness under the dash. I followed them till I got to where they plug into a box. I pulled the plug, cleaned the connections and plugged it back in and it has been working fine. This is as simple as I know how to say it. Oh yeah, I believe that jar jar’s sure fix involves some sort of firearm

Sorry, I had a family emergency. I am now 150 some miles away from the Cart haven’t had time to check the wiring but I will when I get back to it right now. Family is more important.
