Painting a gem car

How much should I expect to pay to paint the front and rear fenders of my 2000 GEM in Phoenix? I had one guy come back with $1500 to $2000! I laughed and left. He must not have wanted to mess with it. I am willing to disassemble and bring to painter. No cracks or broken plastic.

Also over in Phoenix, there are a lot of body shops that will paint, like Maaco “According to Cost Helper, the cost for a single-coat synthetic enamel paint job ranges from $300 to $900 , with an average of $566 . A mid-level paint job with a higher-quality paint and additional prep work like removing rust and dents can range from $1,000 to $3,500 with an average of $1,316 .” Probably will be cheaper since your only taking the body parts.

You can also call up the golf cart shops in AJ to see if they paint as well.

Here in california you can expect to pay $1000 for a spray job on front and rear fenders No cracks or pealing clear ( that stuff is a nightmare)
