No power, won’t charge

I just picked up a 2017 GEM E4. It won’t charge and my friend said that it happened before “my kids let the batteries run down and I had to take it in to be fixed” he has no clue what they fixed. (more money than sense). Any ideas or where should I start looking? I’m not familiar with these. Thanks

What’s the voltage right now? What kind of batteries? Lithium?

What are the symptoms? Car dead?

Yes. I got it totally dead. It had been plugged into a wall outlet but hadn’t taken a charge. Nothing happens at all. Thanks!

12v battery under dash is dead, if it has one. If not, charge batteries in back.

Thank you I’ll try that

Sorry. Just saw your response.
I have 12+volts in each of the lithium batteries. 48+ up to the solenoid. The 12v batt under the dash was dead. I’m charging it now. :crossed_fingers:t2::crossed_fingers:t2:

It’s ok … Inwo got you covered. I would find out why that dash battery went dead, however so that it doesn’t happen again…

I agree. The ac controller was changed come time ago by the previous owner. Am I right in thinking the dash batt controls the solenoid to send the 48 volts to the ac controller. Bc I have 48v on one side of the solenoid but nothing on the other pole . Makes sense if that dash battery powers it. Thanks for all the info.

Charged the accessory batt under the dash and it the car works perfect!!! Thanks so much.
