When driving instructor Paul Tomlin took delivery of his Nissan Leaf, to be used to teach would-be drivers, little did he know that his name would be in the worldwide press! He has been a driving instructor for 14 years and it would appear he has been looking for a more economical and environmentally friendly vehicle for some time. Step forward the Nissan Leaf a 100% electric vehicle which certainly fits the bill!
It will be interesting to see how this development progresses because the dual controls will no doubt come to the fore as learner drivers fight to cope with the lack of noise from the engine. This has been one of the major issues targeted towards the Nissan Leaf, and other electric vehicles, and time will tell whether it does indeed have an impact upon safety, which is more paramount than ever with learner drivers.
