In a move which should give very useful data to Mitsubishi and electric car enthusiasts around the world, the company has released 12 Mitsubishi i-Mievs to be used in a mockup smart grid demonstration over the next two years. In simple terms the study will attempt to replicate a city of 55,000 people using plug-in vehicles to gain further information on behavioural changes and technical support required.
This is a very useful and very promising development and will certainly help car manufacturers around the world understand the electric vehicle market in more detail.
