Elon Musk has been waxing lyrical about the so-called “beacon city” of Hong Kong which he believes will be central to the future of the electric car market. When you bear in mind that journeys in Hong Kong are typically between 10 km and 50 km per day it would seem to be the perfect showcase city for the future?
Despite the fact that electric cars have been around for some time the electric car companies still need to educate the wider public on their benefits. Years of criticism and dumbing down by the authorities have done the industry no good and in reality the industry we see today is not even recognisable against that of just a couple of years ago never mind 10 or 20 years ago.
