Been thinking about a lithium conversion on my 2010 E2 but was wanted to wait until my 10 year gel batteries had to be replaced. I saw a local ad someone selling a 2013 Hyundai Hybrid battery for $150 that he says will take a full charge. Does anyone know anything about or have any experience with these batteries? Would they work for a conversion?
Thanks
It looks like it might work. Using the complete battery, cut in half and paralleled, it can deliver 400a peak.
A little over 1kwh would give a theoretical 4-5 mile range in a Gem.
Thanks Dave,
I guess I was wrong in thinking it was a 72s pack from what a saw somewhere. I guess I will continue using my old batteries for now. I still get about 10 miles down to 50% with the 10 year old gel batteries.
Thanks again!
I did a quick google. Could be wrong.
Most hybrid batteries a small.
